We acquired this directly from a trip to Stewart Orchids many years ago.  This is a picture we took of one of the Lc Esbetts Clown in bloom in our greenhouse.

A 1961 cross by R. Altenburg, a classic white, Fragrant, fringed/notched lip showing its digbyana heritage,  and it does have the tiny line of red-purple at the bottom center of the lip.

AOS Description of bloom: Forty-eight flowers and 18 buds on 22 inflorescences, flowers white, marked with lemon yellow throat and small red-purple mark at center of lip; petals and lip pleasingly ruffled.

Blc. [Howard’s Luck ‘Prien’ (C Portia x Blc Normans Bay) x Lc. Bonanza ‘Etta Gray’] shows AM/AOS but not found on Wildcatt. 

This is a Stewart Orchids cross # 79794 and
Howard’s Luck is a 1974 cross.  These came to us from Stewart Orchids many years ago as tiny plants from Steve McNearny while Stewarts was in business in Natchez.  This is a picture of our first bloom Oct/2008.

This orchid is an older plant that came directly out of the Stewart Orchid collection many years ago.
This is a Stewart cross # 195221. 
Oconee is a 1972 cross and
Within Reach is a 1990 Stewart cross.  This is a combination of an excellent dark red with a lavender.

Large beautiful lavender with dark lavender lip.  Compact size with strong pseudo bulbs.  Lots of new growths and some sheaths.

This is a 1963 Jones & Scully cross.  These two precious plants are divisions of orchids originally at Muses Orchids.
The AOS description for this award winner is: Two flowers on spike; an orange-sherbet-yellow color; whisper of rose on margin of semi-isthmus; moderately ruffled lip; finest yellow ever seen by five of the judges.
